Massage Therapy
A variety of massage techniques are available to meet your needs, whether they are relaxation, injury recuperation, or invigoration prior to your next triathlon. In addition, we have several treatments that can be added on to other services.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage involving the use of hands, forearms or elbows during the massage.
Long massage strokes, using light to medium pressure, follow the direction of blood flow toward the heart to stimulate blood circulation in addition to relieving muscle tension, increasing circulation, range of motion and enhanced relaxation.
½ hour, 1 hour, 1½ and 2 hour sessions available
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic, or Deep Tissue Massage, focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas.
Therapeutic Massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure across the grain of the muscles while breaking up and eliminating scar tissue. Therapeutic Massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. Therapeutic Massage may use elements of Craniosacral Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, hot stones, aromatherapy and stretching. Each treatment is customized to address specific concerns.
1 hour and 2 hour sessions available
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone is the most relaxing off all massages. Hot stones may be placed at key points on the body to help balance energy. The stones are also used by the massage therapist to warm the muscles, allowing for a deeper massage without the pressure typically associated with a Therapeutic Massage. The warmth of the stones improves circulation and provides for a deeper sense of relaxation.
1 hour and 2 hour sessions available

Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy Massage a light to moderate touch, much like a Swedish Massage, with the addition of essential oils. The use of essential oils can provide deeper relaxation and relieve inflammation. Before the start of this treatment, please discuss any allergies with the massage therapist.

Massage Cupping
This treatment utilizes suction to improve circulation and relieve pain. Glass cups are placed on the skin while the air inside is pulled, creating a vacuum and lifting the skin. The treatment is used in conjunction with other massage techniques to target specific pain. Massage Cupping on the feet is especially beneficial to those who spend much of their time on their feet.
Lower Leg and Foot Massage
This popular massage is the ideal addition to any spa service. We will revive tired and achy feet by stretching and compressing them while wrapped in hot towels. An exfoliating scrub is applied to stimulate and invigorate, followed by an intense hydrating foot cream used to perform a full foot and lower leg massage.
